One in six Iraq and Afganistan veteran suffer from PTSD, often leading to suicide and severe mental health trama. Many war veterans have stays in mental hospitals and often struggle on alone refusing to receive help from the Military or doctors. Despite the struggle to help those suffering from PTSD following army service, some states in the US are now turning to experimental Music Therapy programs in a bid to help veterans get through their experiences with the soothing sounds of classical music.

Leo Dunson however is not turning to classical sounds, but rap to help him deal with his experiences and make sense of his life. his own version of music therapy works through violent images and words, low-income and foreign wars. With thousands of Facebook and Twitter fans, Dunson has released five albums in the the last four years, with lyrics reflecting his time in service, training for war and experiences of being trained to kill when he was just 20 years old.

Growing up in the army, he met his wife and mother of his child at the base he was stationed at in Alaska. Since being discharged, normal life and relationships have been tense and difficult. Although in day-to-day life if you meet him he is a charming young man, it is hard to image the tramatic times he has seen, which are reflected in his anger-releasing music.

Although some believe that this extreme of musical differences cannot be mixed, Miracles of Modern Science has now been born, and they seem to be doing a damn good job so far!

With a mix-up of Bon Iver and Jon Bovis hints and styles in all their tracks, the audience commonly seem to believe that the songs are Bon Iver written. Another common misconception is the belief that the musician-mx would cause a horrible performance – again – this is definitely NOT the case!

Miracles of Modern Science are in fact proving to be a hit. One of their latest tracks You Give Love a Bad Name has been a global hit, sealing the deal of the bands awesomeness. Many musicians in the past have tried to create musical mash ups of a variety of kinds, most of these not being as much of a success by a long stretch. In the case of Miracles of Modern Science, who dedicate the majority of their times to honing down musical genius, perfecting, sculpting  and creating more tunes, I think they can be forgiven for the self-promotions as it turns out that most people are in fact Not disappointed by their music.

Every young person has a dream of becoming a great person in life. Gilby Clark, former member of Guns N’ Roses, is one of the kids who actually made it to become a musical icon. According to him, it was dreaming of very high level success that got him there.

Instead of being a coach potato and wallowing in self pity, dream big! He says.

He admits that persuing his dream was not all smooth sailing. His early career was pretty rocky, but perseverance and determination got him there anyway. After several failed attempts at fame and success, he finally landed his big break. On joining the group as a guitarist, Guns n Roses were already a household name. He toured with them on a tour that lasted for three years. Looks like he made the right decision as he had already tried and given his all in previous bands, Guns n Roses seemed to fit his style.

His first tour was a dream come true to him. He described it as “awesome”, the most dominating factor was being with the band who were more than great. He talks of not being able to stop marvelling at the beautiful top notch music of the band the amazing talent of the band members.

Other than Guns N’ Roses guitarist, he was previously the guitarist of MC5 and has played for Nancy Sinatra, played with Slash and Heart to mention but a few. Other than playing the guitar, he is also a music producer. La Guns, Alice Cooper and Rolling Stones have all worked with him. He says that working with musicians is a great passion and that is where his heart is.

Rock and roll maestros the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, joined this music festival’s famous enlisting to headline one of the nights alongside other famous bands, including the Dave Matthews band, Jack White and the String Cheese Incident. There are also many local bands set to smash their reputations into public knowledge on the night.

R.H.C.P’s are known for their predisposition for being snapped in nothing but strategically placed garments that are set to be emulated as fashionable trends. Though the lineup featured  the likes of Dave Matthews band too, whose set to propel up the enthusiasms, the enlisting of Red Hot Chilli Peppers had to complete the topping of weekend bills and makes it mandatory for the festival lovers to be present in their multitudes.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers‘ newest album made a debut at number two on the billboard charts and have been together for nearly 30 years. They were an underground sect favourite for their hit releases back in 1991, through a famous album with which numerous hit singles made gave them their hit band status - Under the Bridge, which saw the band to their first class celebrity mainstream success – made the Chili Pepper’s what they are today.

Many of the bands at Hangout Fest have been chosen for their appeal to fanatics through progressive tastes. Overally, the lineup definitely bolsters the festival’s reputation of fine art approach and assumptions that defines its taste and style.

Metallica have this time round made the best of hits after their last album Death Magnetic,  released back in 2008. Their album Beyond Magnetic, is already in stores all across the country and is out to prove it is the next of the best and most interesting listens to have ever graced the charts.

Beyond Magnetic fuses a variety of Metallica studio mixed blends, mashed up to entangle the fans for nearly 30 minutes of special treats. The album has a grippingly solid collection of songs, and could have been spun into many separate albums.

Death Magnetic is centered around Layne Staley, the former Alice in Chains singer, who died in April 2002. Staley apparently attained the enlightenment that it is better to burn out than fade away, as once written by Niel Young.

Metallica and Alice in Chains have a strong history from back in the 90s metal and grunge days. This is surely the inspiration and fond memories that Metallica have gained inspiration from and have added references to Staley in the lyrics of songs.

References to Staley are common in the album, and in a way document the final years of Staleys life. After retiring from the music scene, Staley spent his life in voluntary seclusion and withdrawal from the world, leading into a solely virtual reality.

Beyond Magnetic is in some ways more of a tribute to Layne Staley, reflecting him as one who had lost hope and given up all that life had to offer and had resorted to the fact – if he was destined to - that he should die alone.

Although a total of fourteen songs were recorded, only ten made it into the final album.

Metallica, the American heavy metal giants, have had their latest tour to Europe pushed by a whole year. The band will be in Finland in the coming summer-eurozone crisis being the contributing factor. Going by the current rates, the tour would earn them more profit now than in an years time. It will be hard  for organizers in some countries to pay for Metallica shows which are normally very  expensive as they are spectacular if the eurozone crisis doesn’t abate.

Live Nation Finland says the eurozone crisis can be reflected by the manner of concerts on offer in Finland. They continued that  the downward spiral at the moment being experienced by the euro was not as steep and it could be supported by the artists who were available but they warned that it would be evident if it continued to drop further. Warned their CEO Nina Castren.

Higher prices is common knowledge that affects ticket sales for concerts even those with big-name performers. For instance, Madonna’s summer concert in Helsinki has it’s ticket prices up and will rise even higher if the exchange rate doesn’t improve which is not a good thing for it affects the number of fans planning to attend.

Smaller and middle sized bands have also been hit by the crisis. Very few tickets are being bought, particularly in advance, and people clamor to buy in the last minute.

The crisis have left scores of losers in it’s wake including workers who have had to suffer pay cuts but Metallica are determined not to join the list and could even bring their gigs forward.

The ticket sales were made and they it was overwhelming how fast they sold. These are tickets for the April/May dates since there was a very high demand for them to return. The first date for the US concert is 21^st July which will take place at White River Amphitheater in Auburn, WA. There is a complete itinerary that follows this release date.

Florence has recently appeared in Saturday Night Live, X-Factor, GMA, VH1, The View, Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve, and Divas. This will see that the fans get to enjoy the triumphant return of the artist live on stage. Some of the songs that Florence + the Machine are expected to perform include Ceremonials and also songs from the debut album Lungs which is a multi-platinum debut album. The Ceremonials album which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios and which was produced by Paul Epworth was released on 1^st November in the US. It debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 100 Charts. Florence got nominations for Grammy Awards for the Best New Artist as well as MTV Video of the Year Award.

According to a recent report released by the journal Poll Star, the group is estimated to have earned a whooping £442m pounds, ranking them as the first ever band group to make such huge sum of money from tours.

The band group with three members Adam Clayton, Larry Mullen and Edge began with a bang following their first visit in Spain, Barcelona.

Chicago also got their share of the tour in September the same year and in October performances in North America came to an end following a massive performance in Toronto.

Other visits were in Australia, New Zealand where the band continued to thrill their fans.

The groups three performances in Brazil alone for instance, earned them a staggering 32m US dollars, the highest  amount they made from one performance that year.

In what is regarded by most people to be the unlikely pairing of the two, there result is just amazing and leaves nothing on the lose. The beats and the lyrics are tight, those who have never heard the two singing their own songs might think that they have been doing music together from a very long time.

The two delivered Uncover Me 2 with such energy and performance that not many people expected.
