  • Title of a journal entry.

we're back. for a little bit, at least. Taste of Chaos starts in a week, and we're just doing a quick recharge of our batteries before we head out.

the video shoot for "red sky" went very very well. we shot for 15 hours at Pinewood Studios on a giant sound stage that has been home to a ton of movies over the years...multiple James Bond flicks, Harry Potter, the Chronicles of Gnarnia, etc., and even bits and pieces of the original Star Wars, I'm told. anyways, it was awesome. tim hope was amazing to work with, and i think we got a ton of really good shots. there are a few pics up in the LIVE area of the photo section. they'll give you a little idea of what some of the video will look like...but there's a ton of stuff not pictured that you'll have to wait until the video is released to see.

go check the pics. i've got laundry to do.

so we just wrapped up our little UK run with coheed and cambria and circa survive, and it was outstanding. big thanks to everyone who came out. so good to see familiar faces, a lot of new faces, and to be on tour with such good friends. i think we're all a little bummed that it was so short...and that just means we'll have to do it again soon.

we've got a legitimate day off tomorrow, which is gonna be nice because we rarely get to hang out, sight see, wander, etc. when we're over here. there's talk of heading to some museums, doing a little shopping, and finding some guinness on tap. good times.

tuesday, we're shooting the "red sky" video with tim hope. we got together with him for a bit today so he could show us what he's been working on, and it looks phenomenal. i'd try to explain it to you all, but i'd probably do a shitty job, so i'll just say that it looks like nothing i've ever seen before, and i am beyond excited that we're getting to do this video for THIS song with him. i think it's a perfect match. teppei and i will take our cameras to the shoot to take some pics, and we'll get them up on the web site as soon as we get home so you guys can catch a glimpse of what i'm talking about.

the most unorthodox super bowl party i've ever been a part of is gonna start in a couple hours. it's basically nick and i, in a hotel room, in london, at midnight, with ed playing warcraft in the background. it's a little different than the standard backyard BBQ, cooler full of beers, and a living room full of semi-drunk armchair quarterbacks, but it'll have to do.

more rambles coming your way once we're back in the states...

    be well.

    Holy smokes!

I'm truly sorry to all of you in Europe. I was looking forward to that tour (i've been listening to that Circa Survive record a lot), but i have to say, we needed the extra time off. I feel like we are finally rested and motivated to go back out on the road and create sounds for your ears. We should be back in Europe before the Summer. We have been writing music, living in houses, and hanging with family and friends. Ha... i actually started skateboarding again too. And, I'm currently addicted to the game World of Warcraft which is wonderfully nerdy but incredibly time consuming.

    I hope all are well.
